2nd Mountain Meat Project Team Working Meeting

On Tuesday, November 14, a working meeting was held in the framework of the Mountain Meat project, in Kentavro, Xanthi. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Livestock Cooperative Mykis, the company ena Development Consultants and the Grassland Ecology Laboratory of the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
 
The purpose of the meeting is to get to know the grazing areas of the livestock in the area of the Municipality of Myki. During the meeting, the needs of livestock units, the way and course of implementation of the Mountain Meat project were discussed.
 
The object of the Mountain Meat project is the management of the Red Breed of cattle in the mountainous region of the Prefectures of Xanthi and Drama, through digital pasture management technologies.
 
The ultimate aim of the project, through the improvement of the meat quality of indigenous and free-range breeds, is to create a high value-added brand for urban markets through which growth will be enhanced and new development opportunities will be created for its breeders. mountainous region of the Prefectures of Xanthi and Drama.
 
The main partner of the project is the American School of Agriculture and the partnership structure is completed by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Laboratory of Grassland Ecology of the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment, the company ena Development Consultants, the company Agromet IKE, the Mykis Livestock Cooperative, the Symeon Zeukidis Livestock Unit , the Livestock Unit of Olga Keyvanidou, the Livestock Unit of Eleftherios Tsorbatzidis, the Livestock Unit of Nikolaos Tsorbatzidis.
