On December 12, 2018 American Farm School and the participants involved in vineyard cultivation under “New Agriculture for New Generation” program held a meeting on campus to discuss climate change and its impact on the wine-growing sector in Greece. The meeting was attended by representatives of the cooperatives, as well as the agronomists of the respective groups, the Director of the Strategic Project Management Office (SPMO), Dr. Philippos Papadopoulos and AUTH Professor, Dr. Christina Anagnostopoulou.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the scientific work to participants and to draw conclusions. The subject of the meeting was “Climate Change and Vineyards in Greece,” and presentations focused on the impact of climate change on Greek viticulture and the changes that may occur.
