Dr. Filippos Papadopoulos,The Director of the Strategic Project Management Office of the AFS, Dr. Filippos Papadopoulow spoke at the AgriBusiness Forum about the digital data in the supply chains and the way in which they can become a profit catalyst for the producer groups.
His presentation was part of the session titled : "Circular Economy, Internet of Food, Energy, Retail Networks" which was coordinated by the Deputy Director of the Office of Strategic Project Management Dr. Evdokia Krystallidou.
"We should not look to technology as a solution in itself. Technology offers solutions, not the solution. It is not enough to focus on technological solutions in each link of the chain separately. We must see technology as the connective tissue between the links ", said Dr. Papadopoulos and presented the approach of AFS in regard to this issue, which is:
-daily consulting + IoT LoRa network + innovation actions = community of action
-connection to major points of sale and the consumer
-targeted digital innovation
-connection of digital technology with Agroecology
-institutionalizing cooperation through Internet of Food Alliance clusters
