The Examined Life program would like to support aspiring young scientists, committed to STEM research. The Bright Bulb Scholarship is a full scholarship which includes room, board, and tuition. This scholarship is designed to help those who may not have had the means to expose themselves to science research or science in general in a meaningful and exciting way.

• Scholarship Essay: Respond to the writing prompt in no more than 500 words: What do you believe is the most important scientific invention and why?
• Parent Tax Returns (translated in English) from most recent fiscal year
• Statement of Need: Explain your need for financial support in a letter.

The deadline for this scholarship is February 15, 2017. There is only one scholarship available. Essays submitted after the due date, without permission from the Examined Life staff, will not be considered.
