Rain Rain Come Again! (STEM Academy)
18th January 2017

Why does it rain? What happens inside the fluffy clouds and they start raining and pouring? With our pipettes and some shaving cream we realized that clouds keep all these tiny droplets of water together until they get so heavy that they burst out.

This was a perfect excuse to remember everything we knew about the water cycle and bring it to life with a fun experiment in our lab.

Then we decided to measure the amount of rain and make rain gauges. Our young meteorologists came up with a brilliant idea…they used plastic bottles from our recycling storage and rulers to make them.

We will be visiting them quite often, so let’s hope it rains.
