Gravity on other planets (STEM Academy)
22nd November 2016

“One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind”, these were the words of the first astronaut to step on the moon. Why do astronauts move so differently on the moon. The answer is gravity and its different on every planet. We used our imagination and travelled to different planets. We were heavy like elephants on Jupiter and light like feathers on Pluto.

Time for our next task then: The Egg Drop Challenge. How can we beat gravity on earth and prevent an egg from breaking? The children worked in pairs and constructed their unbeatable Egg Droppers!
