USAID/ASHA Visit to Campus
21st October 2016

USAID/ASHA Financial Management Specialist Raymond Jennings and USAID/DCHA Director Trisa Savoy visited the School this Fall for an update on projects funded by the agency.  Two recent grants have supported the purchase of cheese production equipment for the School’s Educational Dairy as well as scientific equipment for the Perrotis College Food Science and Technology Laboratory.

Aimed at strengthening hands-on education and training programs that will result in greater employment opportunities for graduates and trainees, the new cheese-making equipment will enable the School to produce a new hard cheese line that will enter the Greek market in the next few weeks.  The scientific equipment will strengthen the College's programs in Food Science and Technology, enhance specialized training geared towards ensuring the immediate employability of graduates, develop new applied research opportunities and produce new value-added food products.
