The construction of new facilities for the Secondary Program under the name "P. Panteliadis High School" is expected to be completed in September 2021 thanks to a donation by the Panteliades family.
Mr. Pantelis Panteliadis, an AFS alumnus (class of 1956), is an Honorary Trustee of the School, while his son Stefanos has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2016. The Panteliades family gift aims to honor the school that educated Mr. Panteliades as well as the alumnus himself for his many years of contribution to the institution.
The project includes construction of a new building along with the demolition and renovation of part of the existing structure. The building is designed to blend harmoniously with its surroundings and embody the environmentally-friendly practices that characterize our campus. Designed by the firm “406 architects”, who was responsible for creating the Haseotes Middle School, the new two-story, 1,200-square-meter facility will accommodate eight classrooms, offices and communal spaces for high school students. The structure will be built according to sustainable design principles, with materials and selected to make optimum use of the natural environment while reducing the building's energy footprint.
