The VeloCT team, consisted of General High Schools students Konstantinos Markopoulos, Louisa Dimtsoudi, Thanos Syntrivanis and Dimitris Graikos, participated in the national final of the "F1 in schools" competition and won the rising star award among 28 participating teams.
Led by their Physics teacher Nikolaos Pegiopoulos, the students designed and developed a Formula1 race car miniature using 3D CAD software (Computer Aided Design). “F1 in schools" is the largest technology competition in the world and one of the most comprehensive educational programs to enhance students' interest in Life Sciences, New Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics. It encourages students to work with each other and with stakeholders in the wider public and private sectors.
