Student Services Center goes digital
24th March 2020

The Student Services Center continues to offer its valuable services to students during these challenging times. The Study USA program has mobilized teachers to continue all regular classes over moodle virtual classroom, individual interviews, tutorials over Skype and Google Hangouts for all Ηigh School students. Skype sessions for seniors and their families have been scheduled for this week to begin the student visa process for studies in the U.S..

All Study Abroad students have been contacted to make sure they arrived at their destinations safely and have been reminded to contact their professors to get their distance learning under way.

The Arcadia program staff has been offering career and counseling services through e-mails or video calls to our students; having Skype meetings with Principals for the support of teachers, students and parents; and providing support sessions via telephone with parents and the School psychologist.

The English Language Planning department has been using Big Blue Button for Study USA classes and wizer.me, Oxford Owls, google forms and other tools for grades 1-7, while compiling a mini-booklet with activities for Kindergarten students.

Over the past two weeks, the Student Life staff ensured that all residential students got home safely and is currently working on maintaining the buildings, preparing the summer programs and the Student Life plan for when the students return (especially dealing with the stress and possible trauma because of the virus).
