AFS and Perrotis College had another successful attendance at the 11th Zootechnia. Always focused on innovation, research and entrepreneurship, members of the faculty and staff were there to inform visitors about our educational programs and projects of the School.
Under the guidance of President Dr. Panos Kanellis, AFS and Perrotis College have adopted a strong profile of extroversion, aiming to "open up" to both the Greek and international community and at the same time continue to adapt rural education to the needs of the 21st century, remaining faithful to the roots and long-standing tradition of experiential learning.
The Strategic Project Management Office participated alongside with Rutgers University and their project "New Agriculture for the New Generation", which is sponsored by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. American Farm School was selected, in collaboration with Rutgers University and the Agricultural University of Athens, as a strategic partner for the organization of actions related to the program. The School participates by training and counseling farmers in the fields of agriculture, livestock, food and tourism.
American Farm School and Perrotis College also participated in the AgroCIRCLE conference "The application of the cyclical economy in agriculture and livestock farming", where Professor of Perrotis College, Dr. Christos Vassilikiotis, presented his paper "Recycling food and agricultural waste: closing the nutrient loop through composting."
Perrotis College students were able to watch the conference via Livestreaming.
