The Center of European Information Europe Direct of Central Macedonia operates under the umbrella of the European Commission since 2005 and it is hosted by the American Farm School, Thessaloniki. The Center constitutes the continuity of the Rural Information and Promotion Carrefour, which ran at the School from 1993 until 2004.

Europe Direct of Central Macedonia belongs to the Europe Direct network of 500 information relays all over Europe, through which the European citizens get informed over issues they are interested in.  

The services of the Center include:

	Organization of information events, seminars and educational activities
	Responding to individual questions of citizens on EU legislation, policies, programs, funding opportunities etc.
	Distribution of information material related to European issues
	Production of informative publications and materials
	Cooperation with other Europe Direct Centers, exchange of good practices and promotion of synergies
	Feedback of the opinions of the citizens to the institutions of the European Union

The Center addresses:

	Rural and urban inhabitants
	Local authorities and organizations
	Students, young people as well as the elderly
	Persons with special needs
