'Hare Is Scared'
20th February 2017

Children love stories and especially our Big Book stories by National Geographic with beautifully illustratrd pictures. So, we decided to take advantage of the first rays of sunshine in late February and combine our reading experience with a stroll. Afterall, at the AFS Elementary we strive to make the natural environment an integral part of the students' learning process.

'Hare Is Scared' is about friendship and helping others in a time of need. When teaching social skils to Grade 1 students, empathy and compassion are two of the most important values to instill in them. Add humour and cute fury animals and you have their complete attention!!!
