Our 10th graders celebrated Banned Books Week at Dimitris & Aliki Perrotis library during their English class with Ms Betsia. The students watched a very interesting presentation on censorship from ancient times to the present, prepared by the library staff and discussed the importance of access to books and information in general. They also had the opportunity to see books which have been banned for a number of reasons throughout history and are now part of the library’s collection, free for the students to read.
